The New Jersey Saxophone Quartet will be performing at Weill Recital at Carnegie Hall on Sunday January 31, 2010 at 7:00pm. The program will consist completely of the music of jazz icon Phil Woods highlighted with the World Premier of “Requiem”, a composition that Phil composed for the New Jersey Saxophone Quartet in memory of Vincent James Abato. The concert is also a snapshot of Phil’s compositional life with works from 1979, 1999, and 2009 respectively.
